After peaking towards the end of April, AA fell into a sideways trading range. While in the range, the stock has formed a key resistance level at $55 (red), and a clear $50 support (green).  At some point the stock will have to break one of the two levels.

ST has a key level of support at $50 (green). The stock looks like its making its way back down to that level again, and traders should be able to expect some sort of a bounce from there. However, if the $50 support level were to break, lower prices should follow.

Apple Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets mobile communication and media devices, and personal computers to consumers, and small and mid-sized businesses; and education, enterprise, and government customers worldwide. The company also sells related software, services, accessories, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications.

Take a look at the 1-year chart of Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) with the added notations:

AAPL appears to have formed a down-channel chart pattern over the past couple of months. A channel is simply formed through the combination of a trend line support that runs parallel to a trend line resistance.  When it comes to channels, remember that any (3) points can start the channel, but a 4th point or more confirms it. You can see that AAPL seems to have bounced off channel support.

Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR)

Charter Communications, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides cable services to residential and commercial customers in the United States. It offers subscription-based video services, including video on demand, high definition television, digital video recorder, pay-per-view, spectrum guide services, and a package of basic video programming, as well as ad-supported free online video products.

Take a look at the 1-year chart of Charter (NASDAQ: CHTR) below with added notations:

CHTR had been trading sideways since the end of March. During that period of time, the stock formed a resistance area at $320 (red) and a level of support at $300 (green).  At some point the stock had to break one of the two levels created by the rectangle pattern, and yesterday the stock broke the support.

During the past two months, UPS has formed a clear level of resistance to watch at the $111 (red) mark. The stock has tested that mark a couple of times since mid-March. A solid close above that $111 level would most likely lead to higher prices for UPS.
